Calvi is located on the northwest coast of the island of Corsica, 95 km from Bastia and 24 km from Ile-Rousse. It is the fifth-largest town in Corsica, although the arrondissement is the smallest.
Stretching south from the marina in Calvi, the series of beautiful sandy beaches can be followed for over three miles along the coast. The beaches, like most in Corsica are extremely clean and a beautifully relaxing place to spend an afternoon in the summer sun. Some water sports activities go on along the beach and if you want to get involved there is usually equipment hire and coaching offered in the summer months.
